Contact – Grey Hound
Pages on racing odds still need a named publisher. This page says how Grey Hound can be reached and what rules its content follows.
Contacting the publisher
The name, legal form, registered address and an e-mail address for direct enquiries are available at greyhoundodds.com. Regulation 6 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 obliges a service provider to be identifiable and reachable, and the site meets that duty this way.
What the site is
Grey Hound is informational and editorial and deals with sports betting. Bets are not taken, no customer accounts are held, no money is accepted and readers are not put in touch with bookmakers as an intermediary. No forecast on the site promises a win.
Betting law that applies
The Gambling Act 2005 governs gambling in Great Britain and the Gambling Commission supervises it. A licence from the Commission is needed to serve customers in Great Britain, wherever the operator is based, and the public register shows who has one. Northern Ireland is outside the Act and has an older law of its own. Only adults may bet; the minimum age is 18.
Content responsibility
Articles are written with care and reviewed at intervals. Odds, markets and promotional terms change constantly, though, so the bookmaker’s own current terms are what count. Grey Hound is not responsible for decisions that rely on its content.
Link responsibility
Links to other sites were checked when added. Later content on those pages is outside the site’s control and answered for by their owners. A link to unlawful content is removed after a report.
Copyright
Texts, tables and graphics are covered by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Use beyond fair dealing needs written consent from the editors in advance.
Gambling harm and where to find help
Betting involves risk of harm. Signs of excessive gambling in oneself or a person close by can be raised with GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, with GambleAware, or with GAMSTOP, a free service that excludes a person from online gambling operators licensed in Great Britain. Licensed operators also have to provide limits and other safer gambling tools.
